The 2019 Traverse City Film Festival will be held July 30 – August 4, 2019.
The Traverse City Film Festival was founded by Oscar winning filmmaker Michael Moore as a charitable, educational, nonprofit organization committed to showing “Just Great Movies” and helping to save one of America’s few indigenous art forms — the cinema.
The festival brings films and filmmakers from around the world to northern Michigan for the annual film festival in late July to early August, and also owns and operates a year-round, community-based, mission-driven art house movie theater, the State Theatre.

Crystal Mountain is surrounded by miles of northern Michigan snowmobile trails. We’ve partnered with Crystal Adventures, located on M-115 just two miles away in Thompsonville, to provide all your snowmobile needs.
Snowmobilers who are houseguests of Crystal Mountain have direct access to Michigan DNR Trail 391, which leads to a groomed network of Michigan DNR Designated Snowmobile Trails (PDF).
No on-site trails available at Crystal Mountain.
Snowmobile Tours
First-time snowmobilers enjoy a one-hour tour offered December 2012 thru March 2013. Advance reservations required. Stop by the Park at Water’s Edge or call 888.968.7686 ext. 7000.
Time: 2-3pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Rate: $99 per person
Crystal Adventures Snowmobile Rentals
Crystal Mountain has partnered with nearby Crystal Adventures to provide our guests with access to snowmobile rentals to explore the amazing northern Michigan trails surrounding Crystal. Advance reservations required. Stop by the Park at Water’s Edge or call 888.968.7686 ext. 7000.
Tours are subject to minimum participation requirements. Weather permitting. Parental supervision required.
