6pm - Mask Making with the Snow Monsters: Make your own Mardi Gras mask with the Snow Monsters! Held in the Crystal Center.

Saturday, March 4
11am - It's All Downhiller Alpine Race
$6 per person for two runs on each course (the Big Easy Family course and the Cajun Downhiller). Register at our Snowsports Desk Friday March 3 or Saturday morning March 4. For more info, call our Snowsports Desk at 888.968.7686 ext. 2000.

• The Big Easy Family Race - One child and one adult race as a team on our “Big Easy” Cheers race course. Two runs for each team. Teams scored with the NASTAR Team scoring points. Prizes for top Team scores.

Team Categories
- Teams with Child 12 and under
- Teams with Child 13 to 18.
- Teams with Child 19 or older.

• The Cajun Downhiller - A hot and spicy race down Gorge and Cheers race course. Challenge yourself on the “New Orleans turn” down Gorge and onto the “Jazzy Street Turns” of Cheers. Two runs with your best handicap run counting for prizes.

Noon - 5pm: DJ Dance Party & BBQ
Dancing, bead contest, face painting, Glitter Tattoos and more!

2pm: Stylin' on the Slopes Costume Contest
Strut your creative Mardi Gras purple, gold and green costumes on the slopes! Participants receive beads for creativity and enthusiasm. Meet at the Lodge slopeside tent at 2pm for judging. Top adult male and female will be crowned King/Queen of the Mountain and win a 2017-18 Season Pass!

3pm - Mardi Gras Rail Jam
Open to both Skiers and Snowboarders. Prizes awarded to top 3 in each division. Top overall male and female win a 2017/18 season pass. $20 per person includes March on the Mountain t-shirt. We'll have giveaways, swag and more! Register online by visiting our webpage crystalmountain.com/mardigras

4 - 11pm: Live Music at the Vista Lounge
Featuring the Feral Cats! Playing a nice mix of early rock and roll, to blues, to folk. From Dylan to Elvis, they'll bring their own scraps of familiar Americana to you.

6pm: Cardboard Sled Building Workshop
Located in the Crystal Center. Cardboard and tape will be provided. $10 per duct tape roll. Reservations available at Park at Water's Edge - stop by or call 888.968.7686 ext. 7000.

7-8pm: Cardboard Classic Registration
Completed sled and all participants must be present to register. The sledding surface of your sled must be standard brown cardboard or standard silver duct tape. Registration to be held slopeside on the lodge deck. See the list of rules at crystalmountain.com/carnival

Build a cardboard sled using only standard cardboard and duct tape. All sleds participating in the competition must be pre-registered. See the list of rules at crystalmountain.com/carnival

11am: Cardboard Classic Race
Once registered, the cardboard sleds and riders will make their way up the mountain for a race like no other. All sleds and participants must be present at registration. See the list of rules at crystalmountain.com/carnival

Held slopeside on the Lodge deck.

Their wide variety of songs offers a little something for everyone; ranging from oldies, to current top 40 hits, classic rock to smooth R&B, country to high energy dance music, and everything in between.

9:30am - 1:30am: Event Registration - Slope side registration available for the Kayak on the Snow Race and the Slush Cup. Participants must be present to register. See rules for event age requirements. Parent signature required for children 17 and under.

11am: Kayak on the Snow Race - Compete for the best time kayaking on the snow! Equipment provided. The use of personal equipment is prohibited. Participants must be at least 8 years old. Registration required. See the rules at crystalmountain.com/snowkayak

12pm - 4pm: DJ Dance Party & BBQ - We'll be playing games and dancing all afternoon long! Held slopeside on the Lodge deck.

1pm: Celtic Dance - Enjoy a unique slopeside show of Dair2Treble Irish & Interpretive Dance Troupe. Directed by Rose Vanderley. Showcasing traditional Irish dancing steps!
